Yerevan Cafe showcased an impressive selection of artworks by artist Bruce Abrams as part of AdMo Art Walk in April of 2026.

Bruce Abrams is a Washington, DC–based figurative painter and printmaker whose work explores moments of human interaction in cafés, music rooms, and everyday urban settings. His paintings use bold color and expressive figures to capture the humor, tension, and stories that emerge when people share space together. Before turning to art full time, Abrams spent many years working overseas as a U.S. diplomat with USAID, an experience that continues to shape his observations of people and place.

Yerevan Cafe showcased an impressive selection of artworks by artist Britnee Scott as part of AdMo Art Walk in April of 2026.

Britnee Scott is a self-taught contemporary and graffiti artist from Washington, D.C., who has been creating art since the age of seven. Growing up surrounded by the city’s rich history, museums, and cultural institutions, her artistic foundation was shaped by early exposure to historical narratives, legendary figures, and visual storytelling.

"I met Tony Bourdain in 2001, in Saint Petersburg, Russia, filming an episode of “A Cook’s Tour.” From that day on, we were comrades in search of new emotions and experiences greater than ourselves. In 2011, he told me to write my story. It took me 14 years to look back, to filter my life through the lens of our 17-year friendship. Tony showed me the way out of my cage, from the weight of being Soviet-born to becoming a citizen of the world." Zamir Gotta

Sharis Simonian is a mixed-media artist based in Washington, DC, whose intuitive practice focuses on collage and abstract art. Her process combines paint, ink, and disparate materials to create unique, compelling compositions. Rather than working from a predetermined starting point or toward a set end goal, Sharis allows for spontaneous interplay between the elements.

Monique's collection, features artwork inspired by European Expressionism and Impressionism, with fine art paintings, ceramics, prophetic art, sculptures, and prints available for purchase.

Forget-Me-Not book, containing 165 recipes, features dishes of Armenian origin as well as a variety of culinary delights from different backgrounds. It is a testament to the vibrant Armenian culture nurtured by Armenian women in the Washington, D.C. region. This book serves a dual purpose: collecting and preserving recipes used by Armenian women living in the Washington Metropolitan area today and showcasing their resilience and strength through their culinary traditions and individual stories.

”Հայկական Վերացական Անատոմիա (Abstract Armenian Anatomy) is a limited run, hardcover, black-and-white photography book - only 150 copies printed. The purpose of this book is to explore the freedom and pride I feel as an Armenian artist, as well as to showcase 6 beautiful young Armenian models - how fortunate we are to be here today as survivors of a forgotten genocide. Torcomian will donate 50% of all profits from this project to SOAR (Society For Orphaned Armenian Relief) Families of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund." Adam Torcomian

“My name is Joanathan Bessaci. I am a paper artist who is currently living and working in Washington D.C. My work consists of cutting portraits and other images into antique French Michelin maps from roughly 1920 to 1970. I choose my maps very carefully and try to integrate their geography, including lakes, rivers, oceans, roads, highways, parks and city centers into my images to highlight visual elements. Each of my pieces is made up of multiple maps which I cut out and layer on top of each other in between pieces of glass to create depth and texture.”

Adam Torcomian centers his works on constants and shapes found within city architecture abstraction of these spaces begins with photography, followed by oil/charcoal on paper. Torcomian has worked alongside Armenian Sisters Academy (ASA), Society For Orphaned Armenian Relief (SOAR), and Armenian Artists Project (AAP) in support of Armenian prosperity. Currently represented by Mark Santerian Jr., Torcomian's work is featured in numerous private collections/commissioned projects.

Julia is originally from Maryland, has grown up with a camera by her side at all times. Through a lens, she not only documents her surroundings, but hopes to spotlight the details that make up their stories. From vast landscapes to quiet scenes, her affinity for the natural environment has led her cross country and around the world. These photos are a collection of moments from the past eight years that had a transformative impact on her own story.

Beth Nogay Carenbauer is a DC-based artist and a native of West Virginia. She creates jewelry and art using vintage and everyday objects. Trained as a journalist, her work reflects her love of storytelling and documentary approach to celebrating vintage objects.

Many know Roudolf Kharatian by his illustrious career as a ballet dancer, choreographer, teacher, director who is a recipient of numerous awards and medals. However not everyone had a chance to see his phenomenal and inspirational works of art, featuring a wide scope of emotion and movement.

“The scale, subject and mood are always unexpected. Some days produce an outpouring of my feminist spark or my cultural identity. Inspiration flows with ferocity. My artistic life has had many turns, beginning with advanced studies in Fine Art, teaching children to create and express themselves, raising two wonderful children, a long second career in aesthetics, an unconventional move, and planting new roots in Washington, DC - all of which have led me back to the study of self-expression.” Kathryn Z. This process of brewing and serving coffee is a Near East tradition that has been enjoyed amongst our families for generations, and is an integral part of many other cultures throughout the Near East, Mediterranean and Middle East. As with the preparation of Arabic coffee the beans are very finely ground and prepared in a pot, called Jazzve. There are slight variations from culture to culture that true Coffee lovers enjoy to discover.

Yerevan Cafe's Easter Egg Coloring event was an interactive and cultural experience, during which our guests learned about Armenian traditional decorative elements, Easter traditions over a glass of wine. They got to take their Egg home, just in time to decorate their Easter table.

Manuscript artist Anna Mkhitaryan showed the techniques and explained the details of the ornaments.

Artist, Renée Regan is known for an eclectic style and commitment to her color palette of red, black, and white plus gray. This can be witnessed in her sculptures, fine art photography, paintings, video art, and drawings. Primarily focused in performance art she has developed methods for anyone to find creative catharsis through performing.
